2022
2022 Milestone: Production Facility Planning
In 2022, Founders took a significant step forward by securing the zoning and use permit for our new production facility. This milestone marks the beginning of our commitment to enhancing the quality of our products and services. We developed comprehensive architectural plans for a state-of-the-art, four-story, 18,629 square foot Medical Device Manufacturing Facility and Center for Pediatric & Adult Diabetes, strategically located adjacent to the Temple University Health Sciences Campus and Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. This facility will enable us to expand our capabilities, streamline production processes, and ensure the highest standards in safety eyewear, particularly for those living with diabetes.
2023
2023 Milestone: Accelerating Growth and Innovation
In 2023, Bon Vivant Safety Eyewear Company, Inc., led by Anthony B. Miles, and Tioga Diabetic Optical Laboratories, under Dr. Chelise Firmin, Optometrist, formed a joint venture to establish LENSRXLAB. We secured Minority Business Enterprise Certification and four Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business Certifications. Additionally, we launched two B2B2C Supplemental Vision Benefits Platforms designed for Government and Corporate Worksites, as well as individuals with diabetes.
Our product innovations included 26 high-performance polarized lenses tailored for diabetics, the DiaVista All-In-One Diabetic Eyewear Package, six fashion-forward ANSI safety goggles, and three light-responsive frame/lens ANSI safety goggles, further establishing FirstLine's leadership in safety eyewear.
2024
2023 Milestone - Product Accessibility
In 2024, FirstLine signed a pivotal contract to join VisionWeb, significantly enhancing product accessibility for our innovative eyewear solutions. This partnership allows us to offer our DiaVista Frames, advanced lens technology, All-In-One Diabetic Eyewear Packages, and safety eyewear, as well as stylish sunglasses and readers, to an extensive network of 20,000 optometrists and over 350 independent laboratories. Looking ahead to 2024, our inclusion in the Army & Air Force Exchange (AAFES) and the GSA Commercial Platform G-Commerce will broaden our reach to key customers, including military personnel and their families, government employees, and other federal entities. These strategic alliances reinforce our commitment to innovation and service in the optical industry, ensuring that high-quality eyewear meets the diverse needs of those we serve.
